After leaving Clayton, NY, we made a stop in Alexandria Bay, NY to visit <a href=\"https:\/\/www.boldtcastle.com\/visitorinfo\/\">Boldt Castle<\/a>, a beautifully restored mansion on a private island, built by George Boldt for his wife Louise, who tragically died before it was completed. It fell into ruins until the 1000 Islands Bridge Authority undertook restoration starting in 1970s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We then pushed on down the St. Lawrence to dock at the Municipal Harbour in Brockville, ON, our first stop in Canada, 113 nautical miles from Rochester and half way to Montreal!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"744\" src=\"https:\/\/sailingtruenorth.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/Nebo-Day-5-1024x744.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-435\" srcset=\"https:\/\/sailingfregata.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/Nebo-Day-5-1024x744.png 1024w, https:\/\/sailingfregata.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/Nebo-Day-5-300x218.png 300w, https:\/\/sailingfregata.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/Nebo-Day-5-768x558.png 768w, https:\/\/sailingfregata.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/Nebo-Day-5.png 1230w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Immigration was quick and easy. Once you&#8217;re known to the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA), entry is usually granted with only a few routine questions. This isn&#8217;t always the case. Canada immigration and customs processes change often. See a <a href=\"https:\/\/sailingtruenorth.net\/best-practices\/canada-immigration\/\">best practice<\/a> on this topic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Brockville is a quaint town with good docking possibilities.
