This is the phenomenon that occurs when the cool night air begins to warm after sunrise, especially in early or late summer when nighttime temperatures drop significantly. Foggy mornings are usually accompanied by dew, leaving uncovered surfaces soaking wet.<\/p>\n<p>The fog occurs in slow moving banks. Sometimes you can be in perfectly clear weather between two fog banks.<\/p>\n<p>Usually, if the sun is out, it &#8220;burns&#8221; off most of the fog by later in the morning. As it does so, the scenery can be incredible. Parts of anchored boats become visible. Islands and other land formations begin to emerge. Shades of blue complement the gray sky. Finally, the sun begins to appear, first as a hazy bright spot in the fog, and eventually, in its bright, powerful glory, heating up the cool air, and drying out the
