Because the ebb current was in our favor, True North was able to reach a record speed over ground of 13 knots averaging about 8 knots for the trip.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;At 2:30PM, we arrived at Cap-\u00e0-l\u2019Aigle, a key stopover point for boaters on their way to Tadoussac and the Saguenay River.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/sailingtruenorth.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/Nebo-Day-24.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-922\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The best part of this portion of the trip was that zen feeling we got as we transitioned from the city to nature.&nbsp;&nbsp;We were surrounded by water and waterfalls, trees and beaches, and we could feel our heart rates slow down.&nbsp;&nbsp;There is not too much to do in Cap-\u00e0-l\u2019Aigle, but we did manage a short hike to a couple of beaches and waterfalls.&nbsp;&nbsp;After our hike, we sat out on a picnic bench at the marina with our friends looking over the St. Lawrence.&nbsp;&nbsp;We enjoyed our cocktails, reviewed the highlights of the day, planned the next day, and scanned the river for glimpses of whales, dolphins and seals.&nbsp;&nbsp;While there, we met some other boaters on the same trip as us, excited to be traveling the river and looking forward to seeing lots of whales the next day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery has-nested-images columns-default is-cropped wp-block-gallery-1 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-id=\"928\" src=\"https:\/\/sailingtruenorth.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/IMG_8538.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-928\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\"><strong>Beautiful sunrise courtesy of Canada forest fires<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-id=\"924\" src=\"https:\/\/sailingtruenorth.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/IMG_1484.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-924\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\"><strong>Sailing into the fog<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-id=\"923\" src=\"https:\/\/sailingtruenorth.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/IMG_1481.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-923\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\"><strong>Fasten your seatbelts!<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-id=\"925\" src=\"https:\/\/sailingtruenorth.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/IMG_1486.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-925\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\"><strong>Passing freighter&#8230;
