And we’re off. We left the port of Rochester, Starbucks in hand (the last for a while), at 0900, and headed out for this long awaited adventure. It was uncharacteristically foggy on the lake, so it was good practice using our foghorn and radar, which will be standard operating procedure when we get to the Canadian Maritimes and Maine.
Our good friends, Todd and Carl escorted us on the first days of the voyage aboard s/v Resurgence. After 6 hours of mostly motoring, we anchored in Little Sodus Bay, one of the nicest spots on the South shore of Lake Ontario, and enjoyed drinks, dinner and an Eagles cover band at Colloca Vineyards.
