We enjoyed a few pleasant days visiting quiet anchorages with Jim and Donna, and now look foward to our last few weeks of the season
Join us on our 2025 adventure cruising the North Atlantic
This blog started in 2023, when we sailed our Beneteau 41.1 True North from Rochester, New York to Maine via the St. Lawrence River, Québec and the Canadian Maritimes. That cruise is chronicled in our blog and in this May ’24 Cruising World article.
In 2024, we sold True North and acquired an Amel 50 Fregata, which we picked up in Florida and sailed up the Atlantic Coast back to Maine. Read all about that adventure in our blog.
This year, after nearly 4,000 nautical miles in the past two years, we’re excited to continue to explore New England. We will be joined from time to time by friends wanting to share the experience. We hope you enjoy our blog. Feedback is always welcome in the comments section at the end of each post.

As the season nears its end, we are soaking up every last bit of a place we’ve come to truly love.
Hurricane Erin passed offshore. Other than unusual ocean swells, it didn’t take away from a beautiful weekend.
The weather has started to turn to that crisp, late summer coolness, reminding us that the season won’t last forever.
