As an early 39th (that’s what she’s been telling me) birthday present for Sandy, I took her to see a James Taylor concert at the NH Pavillion in Gilford, New Hampshire on the shores of Lake Winnipesaukee. My family spent a week there when I was a child, creating a real déjà-vu experience. We sailed from Camden to Portland, where we rented a car for the ~2 hour drive. And what a show! The songwriting, guitar playing, singing, and wit of this artist is legendary, and although his voice is showing some signs of age, the concert exceeded our expectations. And I hope that, at 77, I too can jump up and down while playing the outro to Steamroller Blues like James Taylor can! Per Sandy, “JT is ageless and awesome!”

I like James Taylor and I’m also 39ish….
I had no doubt!
Perfect early” 39th” gift for Sandy! We admired the way JT showed how much he loved what he does best, enamoring his fans.
This sounds like a perfect 39th birthday celebration for Sandy!! I’d enjoy that for my birthday but Paul may be the one person who does not like James Taylor – a shame I say!! I look forward to more of your reports so I can at least live vicariously through you two!!
Thanks, Kim. I stand corrected re. JT. Hope you’re having a good season. Looking forward to watching you whip RYC into shape!
I really like JT and I’m 39ish..
You too! Seems to be the age of many of our contemporaries!
