We enjoyed spending a few days with Jim and Donna and sharing some of our favorite anchorages with them. We also had a chance to visit the Windjammer festival taking place in Camden over Labor Day weekend. This festival assembles classic sailing rigs that vistors can explore or even ride on, as well as music, food and other entertainment. Although we missed it this year, the lobster crate race is a highlight of the festival, in which competitors run across a row of lobster crates (semi-submerged boxes used to store live lobsters). The competitor making it across the most crates without falling in the water.
Jim and Donna were the last of a series of 5 onboard guests we invited, although we didn’t expect them all to be available / interested. We’ll never know if it was the attraction of sailing around Maine or our award-winning company!
