Sailing Fregata

Join us on our 2026 adventure cruising the North Atlantic

This blog started in 2023, when we sailed our Beneteau 41.1 True North from Rochester, New York to Maine via the St. Lawrence River, Québec and the Canadian Maritimes. This unforgettable adventure was featured in our blog and in “The Long Way Around“, published in the May 2024 edition of Cruising World.

In 2024, we sold True North and acquired an Amel 50 Fregata, which we picked up in Florida and sailed up the Atlantic Coast back to Maine. Read about that adventure in our our blog and in “The Long Way North“, published in the March 2026 edition of Cruising World.

In 2025, after nearly 4,000 nautical miles in the prior two years, we were content to continue to explore New England, joined by friends wanting to share the experience.

And here we are in 2026, ready to head out for new adventures. We hope you enjoy our blog. Feedback is always welcome in the comments section at the end of each post, and make sure to subscribe to receive the latest posts directly to your inbox.
