The first sail of the season (“shake out”) went smoothly and it was great to have Alex on board for a couple of days.

With only a few weeks until decommissioning Fregata for the season, we enjoyed the familiar waters of Maine.
After 3 months and 2,145 nautical miles, we completed the voyage from Fort Lauderdale, Florida to Portland, Maine.
We didn’t witness any deaths, but there is plenty of free living in Portsmouth, New Hampshire… a great town.
This hard working fishing port provides stark contrast to flamboyant P’town. We enjoyed company on the passage and caught up with QEII in port.
Having spent many childhood summer vacations on the Outer Cape, it was great to see that little has changed. If you love the sea, this area is paradise.
